Elizabeth on Bay is located on the Nassau harbour front one block east of the City Centre and Prince George Wharf, the busy cruise ship port. The harbour front exposure is unrivaled with panoramic views of the cruise ships and Harbour. The centre has retail shops along Bay St. and on either side of a shopping arcade leading to 2 restaurants on the Harbour and marina. Total rental units are 18 with a rentable area of 36,258 SF, not including the marina slips. In April 2012 the Nassau container port, which occupied approx. 40 acres of privately owned property along the harbour front relocated to Arawak Cay. This opened up prime harbour front real estate for redevelopment. To encourage the redevelopment of these properties, the Government of the Bahamas enacted legislation known as the City of Nassau Revitalization Act providing duty & tax concessions that make the investment opportunities attractive. A key component is a boardwalk planned to run along the harbour front from the cruise ship port to the western bridge.
